Acer V3 772 - Haswell questions

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased an Acer V3 772G with a Haswell platform and I am having some difficulty understanding certain aspects.

The model comes equipped with UEFI BIOSand it had Linpus on it. I wanted to install Windows 7 from my USB stick, but in UEFI mode it said it could not find the boot device. I switched the boot mode to legacy and only after that I could install Windows 7.

The first question is, how do I install Windows 7 in UEFI mode?

After I installed Win7 in legacy mode, installed a bunch of drivers from the product page on the website but the device manager reports that the USB controller is not properly installed. Which I am quite sure it had something to do with the USB 3.0 drivers, since my external USB 3.0 hard drive does not work as fast as it should. I know that Windows 8 has USB 3.0 drivers included, but Win7 does not and the only drivers I found on Acer's website were for the V3 771G model, and I cannot install them, it says that the computer does not meet the requirements of the respective driver.

So the second question is, where do I find USB 3.0 drivers for Windows 7 for this machine?

Thanks!

V.
