On a Windows laptop, "Control Project" likely refers to Microsoft Project, a project management software used to create schedules, project plans, manage resources, and track time.

In this case the  file named "controlproject" is unlikely to be directly related to Microsoft Project, as Microsoft Project uses the file extension ".mpp" for its project files.

The name "controlproject" doesn't suggest a file type or format associated with it. To find the Windows app using a specific file name (like "control project"), you can use Windows File Explorer to search for the file, and then check the properties of the file to see which application is associated with it.
