My Acer laptop an515-55 model no-N20C1 is not charging. While charging at first the orange Led light is blinking and after 3 seconds blue light is blinking. I have tried pressing the power button 10-15 sec and then connected the charger. Still no result. Please help.

Hi, this model is from January 2021 and if the battery was not replaced in 4 years it may be depleted, I recommend getting a new battery: Acer NITRO 5 AN515-55 Replacement Laptop Battery | Low Prices, Long life

Start by performing a battery reset using the pinhole reset button on the bottom of your laptop, pressing it gently with a paperclip for about 30 seconds. Ensure the charger is securely connected, undamaged, and the charging port is free of dust or debris. If available, test with another compatible charger to rule out a charger issue. If your laptop powers on, check Acer's support page for a BIOS update, as it might resolve charging-related problems.

Can't I just turn it on only using charger not connecting the battery? Like any other laptops whose battery is dead but we can turn them on using only charger. So is there any way to bypass my laptop circuit so I can turn it on only using the charger?

Yes. Using your laptop without the battery while plugged in is generally safe, as the laptop will draw power directly from the charger.  The battery only acts as a backup power source, providing power when the laptop is not plugged in.

But nitro 5 has a protocol that turns on laptop only when battery is connected. If we try turning on laptop without battery connected it doesn't turn on.

So my question is how to bypass that protocol and turn it on only connecting the charger

No, there isn't a standard protocol on Acer Nitro 5 laptops that forces the laptop to only turn on when the battery is connected; however, some users have reported issues where their laptops only turn on when plugged in, which might be due to a faulty battery, charger, or other hardware problems.

During gaming, the laptop is designed to run on both the battery and AC power when the load requires more than the allotted 135w from the AC power adapter.

Hi, that depends on the electrical wiring, if the battery is wired in series like the old X-mas tree lights, when you turn off one light bulb all lights go off, most modern mobile devices are wired like that Some older laptops have external batteries wired in parallel circuits and will also run with the power adapter only. The new Acer BIOS and Windows11 won't boot if there is no battery detected and Nitro Sense won't even work if the battery is charged <50% so always keep the power adapter connected 24/7, don't use a USB-C charger as that will be detected as a battery in gaming laptops (low power popups) and make sure the battery is always fully charged to 100% and only buy high quality Acer endorsed batteries for your laptop, perform one full Charge Cycle, described in this forum, whenever you clean installed Windows or after replace the battery and you will have no power issues. 😉
