Hello all,

I have an Aspire TC-1770 UR12 desktop that came with 16GB of ram (2 X 8gb). I want to upgrade this to 2 X 16gb ram for a total of 32gb. I have tried looking my computer up on some of the major ram sites such as crucial but the 1770 is not listed. Can anyone tell me where I can find the correct ram for my computer? Thanks.

This model Supports DDR4 3200MHz DDR4 DIMM with Dual-channel Up to 16GB per DIMM with maximum memory size up to 32GB. You can try tis part number KN.16G07.039 from .KINGSTON

You can try the part partners listed here Acer Part partners or google the above part number to check the availability in your region.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Just don't get XMP enabled memory, since if it works at all it will run at a much slower speed than the 3200 you want.

I called SourceIT and talked to one of their inside support specialist's. He said he had a 32gb (2X16) kit that would work but I would have to go into the BIOS and enable XMP to get the 3200mhz speed. I tried this but there is no option in my BIOS for enabling XMP. Any help would be appreciated.

Exactly, the BIOS doesn't support XMP, so you can't use XMP memory except at it's base speed. The technician you spoke to is wrong if he thinks you can use XMP memory with XMP overclocking. You need JEDEC memory at 3200, not XMP.
