Acer Aspire C27 has double/triple blue lines appearing as an outline

Hello Community members

I am experiencing blue lines appearing on the monitor screen on my Acer C27. The lines appear after working on the computer for 5 minutes or so and are mostly double blue lines which "ghost" the document on the screen - it occurs on all types of documents and I am using Windows 10 and Microsoft 365.

If anyone has any idea I would appreciate any knowledge around this issue. I have spoken with the Acer call centre but they suggested I take it in for repair.

Thank you

It could be the Intel® Iris® Xe integrated cpu graphics driver, or whatever Intel graphics your C27-xxxx computer has, so uninstall the current Intel graphics driver completely and do a clean install of the oem Intel driver for your C27-xxxx model computer from the Acer support page for your C27-xxxx computer and see if that fixes this issue, as this old Intel drive will also be updated by windows update to the appropriate and current drive later on, so that with the original driver that worked when your AIO C27-xxxx was released.

Otherwise its an internal hardware issue that could be the C27-xxxx AIO BACKLIGHT CABLE DELPHI27I_2 or a screen issue, which needs to be taken to a technician, so that they can pinpoint the exact issue with your AIP C27-xx model computer screen distortion. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Most like bad tabs on the monitor's connection's to the LCD screen. It can be repaired but delicate workmanship. Live with it or replace the monitor.

Thanks for your help StevenGen and Larryodie. I will reinstall the graphics driver in the first instance. I will reply once it is done but we have a tropical cyclone heading our way in Brisbane, Australia so it can wait until it passes. If it hits, like it says it is going to in the next 24 hours then I might need a new computer rather than a reinstall!😂

Wondering if you have tried another monitor or used that monitor on another computer ?

    Stay safe.

Hi Larryodie - yes the C27 is an all in one and I have a two monitor set up. The second monitor doesn't show up the double line shadowing issue but it is only on the all in one monitor. I am still to try the graphics uninstall and reinstall but will do that next week. I can put up with it if that doesn't work. Thanks for your responses.
