Nitro 5 AN515-57 External Audio Issue | Video buffers and audio not working
I found a similar topic but didn't see a solution so would like to bring it up and hopefully someone can help me resolving this issue..
This happened at around late Jan2025 after a windows update, when I am playing a video on external speaker (no matter which platform), the video will buffer and freeze after few mins, and after 1-2 mins it will continue playing with muted audio. If I switch to built-in speaker during this buffer, the video plays again and audio is working in built-in speaker. If I switch back, same issue happened again.
I tried to download the latest version of Audio driver from Acer product support, but I was unable to extract few files because of an error called 'Path too long'. I am not sure if this maybe one of the reasons that the issue is not resolved even I updated to latest 2022 version.
Another thing I did was uninstall all audios in Device Manager and restart again, it didn't work.
One more thing I tried was disable enhancement & exclusive access in speaker advanced settings, still didn't work.
Would be grateful if anyone can provide some insights, it is really frustrating as everything is working well until a window update but I believe it is something wrong in Realtek… if you need any more info please let me know I will provide as much as I can! Thank you so much.
Additional info: I got 3 speakers and none of them has any issue on my another laptop, so I believe speakers are working fine
Additional info2: Windows Support has been helping by uninstall driver in Device Manager, repair installation and downloaded acer product support audio driver, but did not resolve the issue
