Hello!

I cannot find the manual for my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-75QN online and don't know what my motherboard and ram support. I already bought this ram (specifications of the ram inside of the red box on the screenshot),

since it's the same brand as the one inside of this laptop (I checked by opening it),

but it would be nice to get a confirmation on whether I ordered a compatible or non-compatible one and the specifications or manual for my model.

I would also like to ask for the HHD (2.5 inch) if there is anything I have to look for specifically in terms of compatibility?

Hi, Acer and Crucial are recommending this 16GB RAM module for your laptop: DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8 • PC4-25600, Acer Nitro AN515-57-59EY | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com Also if you are adding a RAM module to the one installed you should match the Speed and CL of that installed module otherwise it may not run in Dual Channel mode at the maximum RAM clock speed.

Your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-75QN supports DDR4 3200MHz RAM modules, You can add up to 64GB of RAM by using two memory slots. For optimal performance, it's best to use two identical RAM sticks to enable dual-channel mode

In the link you provided I see that you have purchased a ''HYNIX DDR4 Notebook RAM 8GB 2666 Memoria SODIMM Laptop'' with Memory voltage of 1.2v.

Please ensure the new module matches the existing one in type, capacity, speed, voltage, and CAS latency. Install in pairs for dual-channel performance.

What about adding an SSD? I'm going to keep the current PCI-4 SSD of 512GB but I want to add a new 1TB SSD to the other slot, but I am not sure if it's PCI-3 or PCI-4 and as a result, I am not sure which one to buy. I'm also unsure what size (length) I should get since I found out there are multiple. For example, would this one be good? https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B0DBR3DZWG/ref=ox_sc_act_image_13?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&th=1

This model uses M.2 SSD with PCIe Gen.3x4 interface.

You can try for these 1TB models.

    Part number KN.01K0G.002
    Flash Disk HYNIX SSD NAND 1024GB M.2 2280BC711 HFM001TD3JX016N LF+HF

So if I understand correctly, one of my SSD m.2 slots is PCIe 4 (primary one) and one is PCI 3 (secondary one)?

There are many variants in same model. some have both primary and secondary with PCIe 4. Others with primary PCIe4 & secondary with PCie 3. check this table.

Hi, the second slot will support both Gen3 and Gen4 NVMe SSDs up to 2TB, if the slot is PCIe 3x4 a Gen4 SSD will run fine at same speed as a Gen3 SSD, there is not much gained buying a Gen3 SSD these days as they are the same in price. I like the new PCIe5 Samsung 990 Evo Plus SSD that runs cool and the 2TB version only needs a thermal wrap, no heat sink.

I just bought a m.2 ssd from Crucial (Crucial P3 Plus PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280) but it does not detect it (in file explorer I only have my main m.2 ssd). I think I put it in the secondary slot. I say I think, because I am not sure if that is the secondary slot or not but my best guess is that it is since I already have a 500gb m.2 ssd and would guess that it sits on the primary slot.

Could someone please help? I am not sure why it is not detected. I also want my operating system to be on the 500gb ssd so that I can have all my apps and files on the 1TB ssd.

The 512GB Hynix is a Gen3 SSD in Slot 1 (picture above) marked "PCIE" the slot is PCIe 4 x4 so you should replace that drive with a Gen4 SSD.

The empty Slot 2 on the picture below is marked "PCIE/SATA" and is 3 x4 lanes better suited for the Hynix SSD. Then try the Crucial P3 in Slot 1
