Hallo, i am desperate searching for a Bios Update for my old but still nice Netbook Acer Aspire One D150 KAV10. Installed Bios is V1.05. I try to install Linux, but when i start the Netbook with a Linux USB Stick, it goes into suspend every 30 Seconds. I've heard this Problem is solved since Firmware 1.13, but i cant find the necessary Files. So please help.

Have a look here at HelpDrivers as the Aspire One D150 as they have a bios version 1.13 for this laptop model and 48 files in total for the AOD150 model laptop, but make 100% sure that this is your exact laptop model, look at the sticker on the back of your laptop to make sure that the AOD150 is the exact model, you need to confirm the exact identification model as there is no such model as the Acer Aspire One D150 KAV10 that comes up on the Acer Drivers & Manuals page.

The only model that comes up with that similar number(s0 to the D150 is the AOD150 which should be the same as yours and this laptop was released with the N270 and the N280 cpu’s and had supports max 2GB ram @DDR2- 533MT/s SDRAM interface design, good luck and hope this helps you out.

Note: I take no responsibility if the bios file on the above page bricks your bios chip, you are updating the bios file at your own risk.

Hallo StevenGen, at last the Bios V1.11 was the correct one. The old Netbook runs well on Linux Q4OS. Thank you for your help!!!😊

Acer's official website doesn’t always provide older BIOS versions for legacy devices. But I’d recommend checking forums like Acer support forums, or places like Linux-based subreddits or forums. Sometimes, users upload older BIOS versions there. Also, BIOS update tools like Acer's eRecovery Management could help if they have access to an updated version.
