How to optimize Acer Predator Helios 16 for stable 180 FPS in Warzone?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been struggling to get stable 180 FPS in Warzone (Black Ops 6) on the Urzikistan map, and I’d really appreciate any advice you can provide. My setup is as follows:

 • Laptop: Acer Predator Helios 16 (2023)

 • CPU: Intel i9-13900HX

 • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080 (Laptop)

 • RAM: Crucial 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 5600MHz (but running at 3400 MHz instead of 5200 MHz)

 • Monitor: LG 27GP850-B (180 Hz overclocked, 1440p)

 • Cooling pad IETS GT500 Powerful Turbo-Fan (5000 RPM)

Here’s the issue:

 1. FPS: I’m averaging 150-160 FPS in-game, but I want stable 177-180 FPS to match my monitor refresh rate.

 2. Temps: CPU reaches 88-90°C, and GPU is around 78°C under load.

 3. Resource Usage: GPU usage is only ~68%, while CPU usage is ~26%.

I’ve already tried several optimizations:

 • Adjusted PL1 and PL2 in Intel XTU (currently PL1 = 65W, PL2 = 120W, PL2 duration = 10s).

 • Tweaked in-game graphics settings for maximum FPS(Icemanisac and Crowder videos)

 • Used NVIDIA Control Panel to enable G-Sync, adjust latency settings, and cap FPS at 177.

 • Tried to enable XMP for RAM, but it seems locked in the BIOS.

I feel like my hardware should be capable of hitting 180 FPS consistently, but I’m stuck. What else can I try?

Attached is a screenshot from MSI Afterburner showing my current performance during gameplay. Any feedback or suggestions would be amazing. Thanks in advance!

    Follow Below optimization guide completely-

Your CPU temperature is also going high so it may cause stutters. Make sure laptop is placed for proper air flow like shown in below image-

Tip- You should cap your fps to your average fps and you will get stable performance and low CPU temperature. It's better than fluctuating fps..

Also many things depends on this like game optimization, server, etc.

Its got nothing to do with Warzone game. Why is your ram running at 3400MT/s speed when the Predator Helios PH16-71 with the i9-13900HX cpu should be running at 5600MT/s speed with the Crucial 2x 16GB DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 type ram that you should have? As the DDR5-5600MT/s type ram is either the wrong type ram or its faulty in your laptop, as this ram should run at 5600MT/s speed only and if its running at 3400MT/s you need to change the ram, as that is where the fps problems are coming from as the ram is running at a 40% slower speed than it should be.

Note: if your laptop is the PH16-71 model, make sure that your bios is at its last version 1.16 which at bios version 1.12, dated 2023/07/24 this bios updated your Intel 13th Gen CPUs to a new Microcode to fix the Intel voltage and other issues that these cpu's had, install CPUz and see if your CPUz > Mainboard has CPU Microcode version 0x35 as that is the last version, for better cpu performance, so let us know.

Also make sure that you are running Win-11 at version 24H2 and updated to OS build 26100.2894 and you play Warzone through the NVidia GeForce Experience Software settings and have the last NVidia game Ready driver for the RTX4080 gpu on your laptop, as doing all this will make sure that your gaming will run perfectly on your laptop, all these things are essential for gaming on these high end laptops. Good luck.

Ram speed this is exactly what I can't figure out, the task manager shows the RAM speed as 5600, when I launch the game the memory works at a speed of about 5200, but then the speed drops to 3200-3400.

    I have latest 1.16 bios.

In lobby ram speed 5200-5400, in the game drop to 3400

If you set your laptop up like above and have all the updates and the last bios version installed and the OS task manager is showing the ram at 5600MT/s speed, then its the Warzone game that is causing the ram to be downclocked and its got a fault or that is how Warzone operates, consult the Warzone community and find out for ultimate settings on this game to not cause the ram to be downclocked, as this should not be happening. Good luck.
