A problem with my wifi seem to come up out of the blue several days ago. I lose the ability to access the internet when I am not in the same room as my router, but the signal strength always shows i have internet.

I have tried system restore and updating the driver, nothing so far has worked.

I have an aspire v3-571g, windows 8, driver version is 10.0.0.225

try to see/check your router channels and your wifi channels, they might not be compatible( u need to change the router wifi channel to a channel that your pc wifi can stay on).

    Good luck.

Malugani, there are several possible explanations, including interference. Check your available Wifi bands to see if a new one hasn't appeared. You might have aneighbor who has installed a new system.

None of the above suggestions have helped. My problem seems to be intermittent. For a while my laptop can access the internet, then drops off until i move to within 3 feet of the router. Then later I can suddenly browse while walking around my house away from the router. When I have no internet access, my laptop still shows it is connected to wifi.

Any other suggestions? This problem is annoying.

No other computers/phones/devices are having issues with the wifi, just this laptop.

Anybody have an idea what the problem might be?

Malu, somewhere else in this forum, a person posted that when his wife turned on their large screen TV, he had WiFi problems. It might not be in your own house, but it sounds like interference.
