I bought new helios neo 16 phn-16-72-99ua 8 weeks ago (i have started using it for 8 days). Its clear that it cant stand for 6 hours as it advertised. Also it's full charge capacity is 81.882 mWh, thus it is 10 percent few than it's design. What should i do?

here is the battery report from cmd

Battery issues generally fall into a couple of things, some app hogging power, some hardware hogging power, or bad drivers

Tis good to start with the easy , do you have an AV installed? They wreck battery due to how they mess with program flow, and second, does task manager report anything unusual as using high or above power? Chrome is the Biggie bit it's worth checking to see if anything else is guzzeling the electrons

After that, need to check the power usage metrics, battery stats, and power report but can get to that in a bit if it's not one of AV or a misbehaving app

    1. Change the Power Mode.
    2. Reduce Screen Brightness.
    3. Turn on 'Battery Saver'
    4. Detect and Disable Battery-draining Apps.
    5. Disable Background Apps to Improve Battery Life.
    6. Change Power and Sleep Settings.
    7. Disable UI Animations and Shadows.
    8. Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use.

Hi, that battery drainage is not normal, update your BIOS with last month released version 1.15 (click on the link below) that updates the MCU (Microcontroller Unit) in BIOS or firmware that can have a significant impact on battery power management. MCUs often include power-saving features that help optimize battery life. I noticed in the Battery Report that Modern Standby is enabled in Windows (S0 state) and there have been Window updates recently to make S0 state far more battery power efficient, so update Windows11 23H2 with build 22631.4751.
    https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/BIOS/BIOS/BIOS_Acer_1.15_A_A.zip?acerid=638687898664363524&Step1=&Step2=&Step3=PREDATOR%20PHN16-72&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6
Also, the battery may not have been properly registered in BIOS and after BIOS version 1.15 update uninstall these two battery drivers (picture below) and disable Acer Care Center and AcerSense in Windows Services or at least stop using the Battery Calibration and 80% battery charging limit apps in these Acer programs. Disable Fast Startup and Hibernate in "Change what closing the lid does" and in "Change settings currently unavailable" and reboot. Don't use a USB-C charger but only the brick power adapter and charge the battery to 100% + an extra 10 minutes till the battery meter on the taskbar reads 100% and unplug the power adapter. Work with your laptop till it turns off on its own, don't touch the power button, do not suspend or go in sleep mode, just close the lid. Plug in the power adapter and charge till the amber battery LED turns blue, don't open the lid and wait an extra 10 minutes. This process is called one Full Charge Cycle and only needs to be done once with a new battery or when reinstalling the OS.
