    HI @S3bas

To connect a microcontroller to an FPGA, you can use a variety of interfaces, such as SPI, I2C, UART, or parallel interfaces. The method you use depends on the capabilities and requirements of the devices. Interfaces

    • SPI/I2C Simple serial protocols that are useful for low-throughput communication
    • UART Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitter for serial communication that's useful for low-speed or long-distance data transfer
    • Parallel interfaces Offer higher speed communication and can be used when bandwidth requirements are higher than serial protocols
    • Custom protocols Can be designed using available I/O pins to create tailored solutions with optimized performance

    Connecting an FPGA board

    • Plug in the power cord
    • Connect the host computer to the FPGA board using a JTAG cable
    • Specify the SW3 switch settings
    • Connect DDR4 plugin boards to the memory plugin slot

Connecting a microcontroller to a computer

    • Use a USB cable to connect the microcontroller to the computer
    • Plug the USB-C end into the microcontroller's port
    • Plug the USB end into a USB port on the computer
