    For most users it's easier to just purchase the cable pre-assembled. Typically when you make up a cable yourself you end up with a lot of extra parts, since it's not cost effective (or sometimes even possible) to but those parts one at a time.

    I needed that cable too for my Acer Aspire XC-1785.

    I ordered it today from aliexpress.com US$ 1.55 + shipping + tax. Total of $3.85.
    Should be here within two weeks.
