Acer Nitro AN515-58

CPU : Intel i5-12500H

So I already change my max frequency in bios is 3200 is the format is Mhz Or MT/s?

Because When I Login Into My Windows Task Manager Showing Same Result Before I Change It From Auto To 3200 Still 3200 MT/s , Is It Safe if i change it into 6400 ? In Maximum Memory Frequency ?

Hi, the RAM frequency is typically displayed in MHz (Megahertz). However, MT/s (MegaTransfers per second) is another way to express the speed of RAM, and it's often used interchangeably with MHz. Essentially, 1 MHz equals 1 MT/s for DDR (Double Data Rate) memory..

The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58 does allow you to change the RAM frequency in the BIOS. However, it's important to note that not all RAM modules support higher frequencies, and changing these settings can affect system stability. I recommend leaving that setting to Auto.

Check in the task manager for the RAM speed. The AN515-58 model with DDR4 RAM can go up to 3200MHz.

if your Nitro AN515-58 is the model with "System Memory of Platform (LA-L992P / LA-L978P DDR5)" that uses DDR5-4800MT/s max RAM with the i5-12500H, then that is what your laptop can use as its maximum ram specs and it can't be set to 6400MT/s type ram as its limited to DDR5-4800MT/s type ram speed by the cpu and Acer bios. if your AN515-58 is fitted with DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type ram setting the speed to 6400MT/s speed will stop the laptop from booting, so don't set to that speed as you can damage the ram and the bios.

Intel clearly specifies that its 12th Gen i5-12500H cpu ram speed is at max DDR5-4800MT/s speed ram, and max at DDR4-3200MT/s speed, the i5-12500H cpu will not work with 6400MT/s speed.

Also the Intel i5-12500H has a max ram capacity of 64 GB in DDR4 or DDR5 capacities, so the AN515-58 with the DDR5 will work with 2x 32GB DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 type ram NOT with DDR5=6400MT/s CL32 type ram, and it will also work with 2x 32GB DDr4-3200 MT/s Cl22 type ram if the laptop is a DDR4 type model laptop.

Note: that some very rare Nitro 5 AN515-58 models were released with DDR5-4800MT/s ram, the DDR5 ram will not fit a DDr4 ram laptop, as DDR4 RAM has 260-pins and DDR5 has 262-pins, so be aware of the differences. It can't be simpler than what I've outlined above. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Then just keep it at 3200MHz. Adjusting higher frequency will not work at all.
