I purchased a Predator PH16-72 laptop
and it physically has two SSD drives
but only drive C is listed on my computer
After testing I realized that both are connected in RAID which combines the capacity of both into one drive
I want to put a larger SSD but as soon as I replace it it says there is no operating system
How do I disable the RAID, and is it possible to keep the operating system

Hi @AMOSCOHEN I assume it is a RAID 0 system where both drives work as if they were a single disk. Here are some important details:
-To establish a RAID 0, both disks must have the same capacity. This means that you cannot replace one of the disks with one with more capacity because when you perform the RAID, you will lose the capacity of the new disk. In other words, if you establish a RAID with a 1TB disk and another 2TB disk, when you establish the RAID, you will have a single disk with 2TB and not 3TB. You will lose 1TB in the process.
-Working in RAID 0 gives the system much better performance. I mention this in case you ever consider removing the RAID.
-It is not possible to replace a disk in a RAID and have the system continue to work because the RAID 0 system distributes the information across both disks. If you remove one of them, you will not have access to the complete information and it will not boot.
-To change a disk, you have to remove RAID from the Intel application, if you have this system, or from BIOS, but you will not be able to recover Windows, you will have to create the media beforehand for a recovery with the options provided by Acer.
-Finally, if you want more storage capacity, use external USB disks or an ethernet NAS system.

And if I want to replace both SSD drives
    How do I disable RAID
I have no problem with the data being deleted
I will reinstall everything or through an image file

I want the SSD drives to work individually
    I would like to have a C drive and a D drive
So that one drive will be of the same size and I will replace the other drive with a larger size
I have no problem with everything being erased
But how do I cancel the existing RAID connection
In the BIOS there is the option VMD enabled
Do I disable it from there?
