Acer Aspire TC-710 RAM How can i upgrade my 8GB RAM to 16 GB?

Hi there i wanted to increase the performance of my old acer aspire TC-710 therefore i bought another RAM stick DDR3 for the Acer Aspire TC-710 RAM UDIMM, 1600 MHz and 1,35 V. I built it into my pc but the pc isn't recognizing the new stick. The old one is working on both ports so therefore these should not be the problem but if I only use the new one theres a loud beep no matter which ram slot I use.
If someone can help me please hit me up?

Yes, your system supports up to 16GB modules, so 32GB in total. You have to replace both 8GB modules with two new 16GB modules. They need to be 1600 MT/s 240-pin DDR3L 1.35V.

Hey Jack, thanks for your quick response. My problem is not that I want to update to 32GB I want to go from 8 to 16 with another 8GB RAM Stick and it’s not working because my computer isn’t recognizing it.

Hi @MisterFister these are the characteristics of the memory modules compatible with your motherboard. It is very important that they have the same characteristics and, if possible, although it is not always essential, the same brand. The one you have installed is a DDR3 at 1600, while the computer supports DDR4 at 2133:

    Hi @Alejandro_AC

Do you have a link for me for one which should be working? I’ve got an aspire TC-710.

Yes, that is for a TC-760, which is several years newer. Your issue is likely because DDR3 and DDR3L aren't the same. They run at different voltages. You need the same as the stock memory, which should be DDR3L.

I don't have a link, I've searched but I can't find it, anyway I apologize, the model I've put is the 760 and not the 710 so the memory requirement is not the same.
The mistake was because I searched for the 710 model but the 760 appears and I didn't realize it, I apologize again.
