I have my Acer Nitro 5 with an Intel i5-10300H CPU and GTX 1650. It's been almost 2 years, and I've run into what seems to be an irreparable issue. I've already tried everything—formatting, going back to Windows 10, uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics card, opening it up and cleaning it, and practically every YouTube video I could find.

It’s really frustrating because a computer at this price shouldn’t have these kinds of problems. I feel terrible for investing my money into this.

Anyway, if you can help me find a solution? I’d really appreciate it. But honestly, I’m feeling pretty discouraged.

    Hi @HenryGavezc1578,

    Most likely, your problem is caused by a hardware fault, such as:

    • cracked BGA spheres;
    • defective GPU chipset;
    • damaged electronic component in PCIe lanes.

    I recommend that you look for a technical service in your city / region that specializes in laptop repair.

    Support said they will perform a process that costs $1000 and there’s a chance the computer might never work again. I think my computer won’t come back, but I still have hope. Do you see anything in the image that I could be doing, removing, or cleaning?

    Just my 2cent based on your screenshot showing "Intel PCIe Controller x16 error". Laptop motherboard is very delicate as all major components are built into it.

    The PCIe lane error might indicates the lane was damaged or having issue within the GPU itself. Thus, it might not be able to "communicate correctly" between the CPU and other possible hardware.

    I won't be spending money to rectify or repair since I might be able to buy off another new laptop with the cost. (1000USD in my country equivalent to approx MYR5000)
