Aspire 3 A315-58-no Wi-Fi/driver issues-showing a code 10 error

I'm using and Acer Aspire 3 A315-58

my Wi-Fi stopped working and there was no icon.

the driver was showing a code 10 error and one of the usb composite drivers was showing an error descriptor request failed,

after uninstalling the Wi-Fi driver and reinstalling for the 2nd time, the error code has gone, and it says working properly

however, I still have no Wi-Fi connection (but can connect with cable),

I have restarted and shutdown the laptop, also tried searching for updates and it says I have the latest update. I am unable to select the roll back option. All windows updates are up to date.

any ideas how to resolve this please?

  • Hi @micpar can you please post a screenshot of the device manager where the Wi-Fi appears?

    Your computer may come with these devices, what driver have you installed for them?

    Download page:

    Go to the control panel - troubleshooting - other troubleshooters - networks and internet - run
    Tell me if it solves it.
