Hi!

My PredatorSense stopped working seemingly after the Windows 24H2 update.

I've tried everything including restarting PC, uninstalling and reinstalling PredatorSense, installing a different monitoring app to make sure the sensors are working.

Has anyone else had this problem?

PC is about 48h old at this point.

Thank you in advance,

Miley

Win 24H2 was released only recently; and windows breaks and introduces new issues with every new release. I would suggest for a short while; most possibly Acer is already working on a newer version compatible with Win 11 24H2.

W11 24H2 was automatically installed by WU on two of my 2023 laptops (same systems/CPUs) Acer and Asus, in November and last week without any issues, bugs or other complains, IMO perfect OS. All of the issues with 24H2 reported here are due to manual upgrades with the generic 24H2 ISO image. Just wait till the 24H2 upgrade, tailored to your system, is offered by Window Update and you will be fine. 😉

This update was installed through Windows Update in my PC settings.

And after it PredatorSense just stopped showing an kind of stats, not letting me control fans, or lighting. Anything I click, nothing happens. Setting fans to max for example, the fans do not respond.

The desktop is under full warranty, I recommend send/bringing it to Acer Services in your country to install Windows11 24H2 and all the programs, for free or for a small service fee.

Verify first that you are running both the latest BIOS and the latest Predator Sense. PS does some low level access to BIOS settings, so the BIOS and PS executables need to match.

I have a PO3-655 even though the serial number is recognised by Acer as a PO3-650.

PredatorSense V4 will not work with it - blank data.

    PredatorSense V3 works fine.

I am on Win 11 24H2 and PredatorSense (V3) works without issue.

I am on the latest BIOS (worked with all previous BIOS).

I consulted via chat with a Predator tech support expert and as a result I downgraded PredatorSense to the previous version. Immediately the fan lights came back on and PredatorSense started working.
