Why do not all the keyboard shortcuts work? The Ctrl Z does but not the Ctrl Y. Also, I am unable to do a manual save for my spreadsheet? Is it because my spreadsheet starts out in XL but wants to convert to a Google sheet?

Which 514 Chromebook do you have? Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like Cx514-xxx-xxxx. I assume when you say XL, you mean Excel for Chromebooks? Are you using it through the web interface to Office 365 or through an app? What do you expect Ctrl-Y to do? It should redo the last action, just as Ctrl-Z undoes the last action…

If you have other problems with your keyboard, try these steps: Turn off the Chromebook and then turn it back on. Use the keys while you browse as a guest. If the keys work, delete the account that has the problem on your Chromebook and then add it again.
If Esc, Backspace, Ctrl, Search, or Alt key doesn't work, please make sure you have set the correct behavior for each one. Click [Status Bar] at the bottom-right of the screen①, then click [Settings] ②. Select [Device]③, then select [Keyboard]④. Confirm all specific keys have been set the behavior you need⑤.
