I don't know how it happened but suddenly one day some update installed or something and my advanced optimus option just suddenly vanished, i have an Acer Predator Intel i7 12th gen, rtx 3060, it came with advanced optimus and suddenly stopped. I have tried reinstalling all bios updates, all nvidia drivers, have even bricked my laptop by mistake doing so and fixed it, did everything from scratch, have reset it multiple times, but no advanced optimus again. Please help me someone.

@Iqbal007 i understand your concern, did u try resetting the bios to default options? send me a screenshot of the intel graphics driver version that you are using and the nvidia graphics driver version too ( this can be found in the task manager or device manager). Also let me know what exact update caused the advanced optimus to dissappear if you remember.

Yes i did everything with the bios settings, reset them as well.

I don't remember the exact version it stopped working at, however, I have tried reinstalling and rolling back the drivers for both the display adapters.

It is not recommended to update intel graphics, try using DDU and clean install both cpu and gpu drivers and let windows install the best drivers for your device.

I uninstalled and let Windows install both the drivers, it's still not showing, however. Idk what to do, i bought this laptop specifically for the mux switch and now it's now working

I understand, so from when have you been updating intel graphics driver. From the start or when you started facing the issue. Also provide me the screenshot of your nvidia control panel. check for the settings in bios.

I've only downloaded the intel drivers from the acer website, but i tried instal;ing from the intel site aswell. The problem i think is something related with the bios, because i don't have an option to change display mode to only nvidia gpu. It only shows optimus and auto select. All this has been happening after the service center replaced my display panel as it was faulty.

This is my system info from the nvidia control panel:

Hey, I had an exact experience where my display was faulty and I got it changed, but then the advanced optimus option disappeared. Turns out, they had replaced the 300 nits panel with a 250 nits qhd panel and it did not support gsync or advanced optimus, so I put old screen back and got refund for the service. Most likely it has to be the display panel they have put to your laptop. If you have your old screen, I suggest you take it to the service center try with it and you should see the settings again.
