Hello!!
I have an Acer Aspire 3 A315-24P-R8PJ laptop that I want to connect to a TV!! Samsung Q70D!!
Unfortunately, it only works in 1920x1080 120-hz!! If I set it to a higher resolution, it drops to 60hz!!
Amd video card

Windows 11
With HDMI 2.1 cable
What can I do to make it go to 120hz even in high resolution?
Supported by TV!!

Table below shows guaranteed max rez and rates. You're doing better than expected at 1080P rates for this particular model.

    “Thank you!
But I still haven’t received an answer as to why it can’t do 120Hz at 3840x2160 resolution, and only supports 120Hz at 1920x1080.
It has HDMI 2.1, and the sticker on the device even indicates this!!
HDR video transfer works continuously only on the laptop, but when connected to the TV, it doesn’t!”

Because for your particular laptop, the HDMI v2.0/2.1 output is only guaranteed to support 60Hz refresh rate at that resolution to an external PC monitor. An external TV set may act differently. These external HDMI output specs do not apply to the internal display which depends on another non-HDMI internal video circuit.
