Hey Everyone,

I have a Predator 32-inch XB323U GP WQHD Gaming Monitor. I purchased it less than 2 years ago and I've had constant issues with thousands of vertical lines appearing. This occurs whilst using it to game OR to simply use the monitor to view web pages. It happens randomly. You can also sometimes see some burn in.

I have a Predator Helios 300 laptop connected via a HDMI cable and a Mac Mini connected via another HDMI cable. Both cables are brand new form Belkin.

I have tried to troubleshoot it by:

  1. Disconnecting one PC.
  2. Using a different HDMI cable - I initially had the provided cable being used.

Earlier in 2024 I reported the issue to Acer, and they kept saying there is nothing wrong with it. No doubt they turned it on, did a few tests and said it was ok. Even though I had pictures and video of the issue!

After lodging a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading to have the monitor replaced, they replaced it, however they ignored NSW Fair Trading and did not respond to them which speaks volume of the company!

The replacement monitor now suffers the same issue!

Has anyone had this issue and if so, what worked for you to fix it?

You built-in GPU or the display controller is defective. Take it to a local computers repair shop and let them test it for you. But first connect it to a tv using an HDMI, It may be the display itself.

Usually artifacts like that can be traced to the cable, make sure it's well seated at both ends and try a different one.
