Aspire5-Remapping Snip Key to Home Key, want to use the remapped HOME key further in combination

Hi there, I have a new Acer Aspire5, and I have found that dedicated HOME and END keys are missing. Enabling them using NUM key is completely out of question because this would not allow me to use keypad.

What I want to achieve is this:

  • remap PRINT SCREEN key to END key
  • remap Snip tool key HOME key

I try to use key remapped (Microsoft Power Toys), but I cannot figure out how to identify the SNIP TOOL key. (Remapping the shortcut WIN+SHIFT+S that is actually emitted when snip tool key is pressed does not help, since I want to use the remapped HOME key further in combination with Shift / Control keys - basically i need it to behave like a regular HOME key).

Please, can you advise?

Thank you in advance.

Try another re-mapping tool for Windows. There are many.

Thanks for an answer. I am able to remap any of the keys with no problem, as long as they are recognized by Windows as a single key stroke. But Snip key emmits a chord / shortcut (ctrl+win+s) so i am not able to handle it as a regular key.

Any advice where the Snip key behaviour can be changed so it is handled as a standard key?

    Thank you.

Pressing SnipKey performs a triple keystroke combination, SHIFT+WIN+S. This feature is likely controlled by BIOS firmware, not Windows. So within the Windows environment you might be able to remap each single SHIFT or WIN or S key so that SnipKey performs a different triple keystroke combination.
