Suddenly 80% of my keys on my Aethon 700 keyboard stopped working. I noticed when i press two keys together then other keys work. I bought this in 2022 and paid $200 for this keyboard. Could some one please assist? i am all for troubleshooting and trying different things.

It lights up normally majority of the keys just wont work.

Install the Acer available Predator Quarter Master version 1.0.0.6 driver and see if that fixes this issue, as that should not be happening. Acer does not have anything on this keyboard in as far as a service guide, so look at the manual available online and any troubleshooting guides, as we can’t give you any technical details. But check the USB plug and its connection to your PC if that is ok then it’s the actual keyboard so consult Acer in your country for further troubleshooting and/or get them to fix the keyboard. Good luck.

yup I downloaded the predator quarter master. It seems to control everything no problem especially the lighting. I just can’t get 80% of the keys to work.
I actually already had the quarter master installed but I reinstalled it. I tried plugging the keyboard into another laptop and it does the same thing.
I did notice when I press one key that works and another key that doesn’t work at the same time, the key that doesn’t work starts working. Maybe physical board issue? I read online some printers have fuses? I would attempt to replace it and open it up if I could confirm that. otherwise, I am afraid my $200 keyboard is dead. But like I said the lighting still works it looks fine, just 80% of keys don’t work.

    I appreciate your response btw!!

Consult Acer support in your country and get advice and the best way to fix this expensive keyboard from them as we don't have anything on this keyboard that we can help you with. As I've said Acer does not have an official service guide also, so it could be that the keyboard is damaged and needs its parts replaced or the whole thing replaced, as and if the keyboard is under warranty that is what Acer would do. Good luck

My guess is there is a key stuck, either physically down or with some gunk under it that holds it pressed. Try cleaning it all and perhaps blowing under the keys…

    Update:

on day 3 it started to work again. I am not sure what triggered it to work nor what will trigger it to stop working. I am afraid not to reboot or mess w/ anything. I did BO6 Zombies to stress test it and so far its holding up good. Must be an issue w/ the board? 80% of the keys were not working even on another laptop.
