CB515-1HT no longer has Google Play Store App and will no longer install Android Apps

I've had my Acer Chromebook CB515-1HT since Sept 2019. Even though this model is included in Google's list of Chrome OS Systems supporting Android Apps (https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps/), the Google Play app is no longer installed on my C'book, and when I use the browser to go to play.google.com and choose an app to install, I get a message on the screen that says "This app will be installed on your device soon," but no new Android apps ever get installed. I contacted Google One Support about this, and even we ensured that my C'book's OS is up to date — it's now Version 126.0.6478.256 (Official Build) (64-bit) — the Google Play app is not installed, and it doesn't show as install-able when I go to play.google.com. So the Google One Support Rep advised me to contact Acer Support about this. My warranty is expired, so I hope a Community Expert can help resolve this issue. (If the issue is that this model can no longer be considered by Google to support Android apps, then Acer should communicate that to Google so that Google can update their list that I referenced above!) Thanks in advance!

All the software side of things is handled by Google. It sounds like they tweaked something that broke that functionality. Hopefully there will be another update soon that fixes it, or an explanation as to why they disabled it.
