What's the Maximum storage and RAM for Aspire 5 A515-58PT-59VW?

As the subject states, I'm attempting to upgrade an Aspire 5 A515-58PT-59VW and I'm running into a lot of conflicting information for the maximum storage and RAM that the machine can manage.

The model number doesn't seem to exist anywhere so I'm assuming it was a Costco exclusive, as that's where the laptop was purchased about six months ago - although that product page has now been deleted from the Costco website, but I've attached a screen cap below with the machine's listed specs which are 512GB of storage (Kingston) and 8GB of DDR5 RAM.

After researching this machine online and getting varying results, I finally called Acer to get their take how I can maximize the machine - and the tech I talked to couldn't seem to find a listing with the 59VW extension, so he read me the specs on the standard 58PT . . which didn't match what my machine had installed.

When I asked about the discrepancies, the response was that the 59VW was "a variation" so I have no idea if the upgrade specs I was given are accurate or not.

The variations include discrepancies like "it has 8GB of ram in one slot that's expandable to 32 GB but the 8 has to be removed and the bios re-installed" . . or "there's 16GB of RAM and it's soldered in so it can't be expanded (no, it only has 8)" . . "It has 1TB of storage installed (in fact, it has 512GB) and 1TB is the maximum" or "2TB is the maximum the machine can handle" . . or "there's 8GB of RAM with an additional slot that will accept 32GB for a maximum of 40GB" . . . . . so, hopefully you can sense my confusion . .

As Cyber Monday is fast approaching (last minute, I know but I stupidly thought this would be easy) . . I'd like to take advantage of the price advantage, so if anyone can enlighten me as to the proper maximum upgrade specs for storage and RAM on this machine it would be greatly appreciated. I haven't opened the machine up yet, which is admittedly the next step, but I was curious if anyone here had any definite information on this model before I do so.

Thanks in advance . .

Your Acer Aspire 5 A515-58PT-59VW model can come with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of soldered memory. Since you have the version with 8GB onboard memory, unfortunately, it's not upgradable. The memory in your laptop is LPDDR5, and these modules are soldered to the motherboard, meaning there are no additional slots available for upgrades.

Do you have any insight into expanding the storage? Can I upgrade to 2TB from the 512GB installed?

The Acer Aspire 5 A515-58PT-59VW Laptop supports DDR5 PC5-38400 4800MT/s Non-ECC SODIMM memory type and comes installed with 8GB (Soldered) memory and 1 slot that supports up to 32GB to upgrade to a maximum memory capacity of 40GB.
Aspire 5 A515-58PT-59VW Memory Upgrade - Acer 5 A515-58PT-59VW Aspire Laptop Memory AFAIK the 58PT model has only 1x M.2 SSD PCIe 4x4 slot for a Gen 4 SSD, the 58GM model has 2 4x4 PCIe slots for Gen4 SSDs. The Samsung 990 Evo Plus up to 2TB is recommended for this laptop. There is no other information on this 59VW model. Best to open up the laptop and see if you have 1 or 2 RAM and PCIe slots.

Thank you, I did find the MemoryStock page in my research, but you'll note that in spite of the specs you quoted, there's a list on the left side of the page stating that no slots are available . . which was also part of the confusion.

I do need to open the box to see for myself, apparently . . this is getting a little too flaky . .
