My AN515-57 is not charging, and the battery is stuck at a percentage. If connected to the power supply, it does not discharge, but neither does it charge.

What I've already tried:

  1. I reinstalled the battery drivers from the Device Manager.
  2. I tried another power adapter.
  3. I tried another battery.
  4. I did the battery reset ( I turned off the computer, removed the power supply and battery, and held down the power button for one minute).
  5. I tried another power outlet.
  6. I'm sure I have the latest NVIDIA drivers and the last Windows update.

This is a 2021 model, are you using an older version of Acer Care Center perhaps with that 80% battery charge limiting option? If so stop and disable the Startup type in properties for accSvc and accAgentSvc in Windows.

Make a battery report, paste this in the command prompt: powercfg /batteryreport and open the report with Windows Edge, right click on the opened report and select "Print to Microsoft PDF", attach the PDF file to your reply, click on "Quote" or type @Puraw so I get an alert.

This could also be a hardware issue with the power rail, consider taking the laptop to Acer Services in your country.

Thank you for your response! I disabled the Startup type in properties for accSvc and accAgentSvc in Windows, although I don’t think that’s the issue because I just installed a new battery, and the problem persists. With the old battery, I let it discharge to 0, and it doesn’t even go up to 1%. The new one is stuck at 68%.

In any case, I had run the battery report with the old battery; I’m attaching it in case it might be useful.
