Acer veriton x4640g 2016 mostly won't boot shuts down fans running

Hi,

I own 2 second hand refurbished Acer veriton desktops. One stopped booting, (it occasioally does boot) the other world fine.it Starts fans running, but no beep no signal to display no boot to bios.

It can shut down after half a minuten of starting but tegen retakes itself again but just keeps fan blowing with nothing more.

I tried evertthing suggested in this earlier similar topic. Aspire 7552 won't boot to bios - fan running

PPower drainage, CMOS clearing, ram modulles closesd to cpu and removing them.

Very sometimes it does boot for no other reason it does that mostly from a os dvd inserted. The case has to be uprightly placed. But when i touched the case the screen goes black, but fans Running. No returning on possible.

Ithink it has to do with the powersuply. As the power button not always Respond. But plugging in the ac cable may start up the pc??. Short circuit

Many thanks for any suggestion of expertise.

We are going to need more info… Veriton 2016 doesn't tell us which model it is. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. What OS is on it? Do you see the splash screen when you try to boot or doesn't it stay completely blank? Have you tested with both monitors?

No beep at boot. No Acer splash screen. Only fan Running.

WWhen it did boot up it started up twice the splash screen and beep was there. It booted to bios and the Linux dvd. Then shut down of lost signal when tilted the case. It booted more Often when upright.

    Hi again,

Pc started not by pushing the powerbutton, No response, but pushing eject button on the optical drive turned computer on and booted.

IIt was not sleeping as the ac cable was unplugged.

I touched the display port cable (which is new) at the back of pc And screen went out. No signal . Had to reboot to get back a signal.

    Something loose.

Check ALL your screws, inside and out. Manually tighten each one.

Check all cables inside for secureness.

Possible wall plug too with loose screw. Don't let that go as it can burn.

I agree, it sure sounds as if you have something loose…
