Hello everyone,

I recently bought a Predator PH16-71, and during the first week, I experienced a screen issue where the display was flickering. I contacted support, and they suggested the following:

"Once you get to the BIOS, press F9 + Enter, then F10 + Enter. It will restart by itself. Please let me know if you notice any difference."

This resolved the flickering issue. However, I have since noticed a delay when hovering the cursor over certain interface elements (e.g., Steam library games and the email list in Outlook). Updating the Intel VGA Driver (UMA) from version 31.0.101.3425 to 31.0.101.4146 resolved the issue temporarily.

Unfortunately, the problem returns after some time. I've been able to fix it by alternately installing versions 31.0.101.4502 and 31.0.101.4146, but I would like a permanent solution, as reinstalling drivers frequently is inconvenient.

Additionally, this delay sometimes affects only specific apps (like Steam) while not occurring in others (like Outlook).

I am attaching two videos: one recorded when the issue was present and another recorded after reinstalling the VGA driver.

Thank you!

    Hello!

I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing issues with your Predator PH16-71. To seek a permanent solution, try uninstalling your Intel VGA drivers completely using a tool like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), then reinstall the latest driver version. Ensure your BIOS and Windows OS are up-to-date. Update your dedicated graphics drivers if applicable. Using the Intel Driver & Support Assistant might help automatically detect and install the most suitable drivers for your system. If the issue persists, contact Acer's support team again, including your videos to help them diagnose the problem more effectively. I hope this helps!

    Hi @Christin602Bey,

Thank you for your answer! I have just one question. I took a look at DDU and it seems it would uninstall all Intel graphic drivers. Is that correct? Sorry about double checking this, but I have never done such procedure before and I just want to make sure I am doing it correctly.
