it takes 10 to 30 seconds every time to run any program/boot is also very slow

we regularly update all updating but no use once we click any icon, we have to remove hand on curser for 20 to 60 second then it starts the program

always auto hang and need to restart again

I think we cheated by acer giving slow laptop and we should complaint to [Content Removed].

    Hi @shrkantdhope

First of all Please confirm the model # of your Extensa 215, It would be like EX215-XX. What is the version of windows does running in the laptop. If it is a Windows 10 operating system then follow the below step to isolate/fix the issue. Please ensure that you have a valid data backup taken from your system and keep it safe.

We have two options in this case, first, we need to go to Windows recovery mode and try the options there:

Restart the device 3-5 times until I reach Windows recovery mode, wherein you have the option to select Continue, Troubleshoot, or Exit. Or try to Press and hold the Shift key while continuously pressing F8 while starting the PC

    Then on Windows Recovery:

    Do system Restore:

Click Troubleshoot> Advanced options> System restore - Follow the prompt and choose the date when it was working fine.

If the issue persists, we need to use Windows installation media in USB to repair the issue, to do that kindly follow the steps below:

Note: We need another PC and a USB drive (At least 8GB and make sure there are no files inside as it will reformat the USB) once you have that kindly follow the steps:

Step 1: Create Windows 10 installation Media

    Go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Scroll down and click "Download Tool Now" then run the Media creation tool (the downloaded file)

If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.

On What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC and then select Next.

Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. This table will help you decide which edition of Windows 10 you’ll choose:

On Select which media, you want to use click USB and save it to your USB drive.

Once done, do the repair kindly follow the steps below:

Insert the USB into the affected PC

Start the PC and if you see “Press any key to boot from DVD,” do so. If you don’t see the message, you might need to change the boot order in your computer's BIOS settings so that it first starts from the DVD or USB.

When you see the Install Windows page, tap or click Repair your computer to start the Windows Recovery Environment.

In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, tap or click Troubleshoot.

Tap or click, advanced options and then click on Startup repair.

Yes, we really need to know just which Extensa model you have. There have been a lot of different ones over the years. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like EX215-xxx-xxxx. Also, what size and type of drive do you have? How much memory is installed? That kind of slowdown is pretty typical of a machine running off a HDD with too little memory.
