Today, I tried my Yamaha 3D Bluray player with some 3D movies. I connected it with HDMI and turned it on so the movie could play. It is telling me I need a 3D TV screen. Do you have any Ideas?

So your trying to use a 3d blu ray player by just connecting it to the monitor itself? That won't work. SpatialLabs monitors require the SpatialLabs software on windows to be able to use 3d at all on it and it won't work with the SpatialLabs software either like I wrote above

No video players will output Blu ray 3d player to sbs anymore so you could rip it to iso and use makemkv to get a lossless quality mvc .mkv video that you can play in potplayer in sbs format and you can use SpatialLabs Go sbs which is what I've been doing and you can use zoom in to fill the screen since stretching to full screen results in just that a stretched looking image or you can convert it to sbs so you can play in SpatialLabs player or potplayer or just get the movies on the net

The link can explain things better and show the settings for potplayer which i followed to get mvc 3d movies working

Journey to the center of the earth in mvc format in potplayer with SpatialLabs go the bug in the beginning tentacles came 4 feet out of the screen in my face!

Thanks, but ripping movies will never give you the same original Blu-ray quality. Also, who has time to rip? I may be mistaken, but the monitor cannot negotiate with the Blu-ray player. Something old 3D TVs have it built in.

I just wanted to ask. I think the only way to play 3D Blu-ray is by using a 3D player app on a PC.

Mvc is lossless quality and I agree I don't rip I get iso's online. No It cannot work with the monitor cuz it needs to output to side by side to be able to use SpatialLabs Go and no player does this anymore it will always play only in 2d. Did you even go to the link?
