Hello, if I handed my laptop in for repair with the replaced RAM, will it still apply or will I have to use the one I bought it with?

You can usually replace RAM without voiding the warranty. So, it will be fine.

In certain countries, Acer implements a warranty void sticker on the back panel of their laptops, particularly in regions like Malaysia and India. This sticker indicates that opening the laptop may void the warranty unless done by an authorized technician. The rationale behind this policy is to prevent unauthorized repairs by unqualified service providers, which could potentially harm the device.

If you don’t have a warranty void sticker, you should be able to upgrade your RAM without any issues.

If your laptop didn’t have a warranty sticker stuck on the ram slots and/or the existing ram module so that it can’t be removed, then the Acer warranty on your laptop should not be voided if you upgraded the ram and/or an M.2 SSD drive.

You can send your laptop to Acer Tech Support as its fully covered under the Acer warranty irrespective of what ram or M.2 SSD drive you have upgraded your laptop with and to. So be aware of this as Acer does put restrictive warranty stickers onto the mainboard, ram and M.2 SSDs to restrict removal and upgrades and opening of their laptops in some countries. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
