how can I connect my headphone to Acer S3 - cant get through

I bought my Acer S3 last year and never tried to plug in my earphone into the ear jack. Today I would like to try but once I tried to plug, I found like something inside the Acer S3 ear jack that block my earphone to fully insert.

Pls advice

    I had a similar problem. Just push harder and it should go in.

    I have the same issue - it's like there's an insert in there that only allows the jack to partially go in, yet the insert has gold contacts - as if it's supposed to be that way.

    This is certainly not correct.

     

    I tried being slightly forecful, but there is no point because I can clearly see the hole doesn't go through as it should.

    This must be a manufacturing mistake.

     

    Hopefully Acer can answer this.
