Wireless N Not working on Aspire 5100 with Vista

I recently changed modems due to my old one dying and the new one is wireless N while my old one was wireless G.  Since making the switch, my Aspire 5100 has not been able to get internet access (although it says it is connected to the wireless network).  Is there a new wireless N driver for the Aspire 5100 running Vista?

Thanks in advance!

If you go into Control Panel > Device Manager :

Can you see the wireless network card listed ?  Right click this item and select properties, go to the Details tab, drag down the property to Hardware Ids : Post the information on the forum.

We should be able to see what card you have (using www.pcidatabase.com) and then determine what is the most up to date software available for you to install.

i just posted a similar post and then realized this post could still be my answer to dig and find the appropriate driver... only in going to the web site you listed, I am lost in the information of knowing "which one" is the right one.

A little education on manipulating the site in knowing which one is the right one to download, or, If you could possibly assist I did manage to get the laptop to tell me I'm looking for:

Realtek 8169 PCI, 8168 and 8101E PCIe Ethernet Card Driver for Windows Vista.

Sorry I have no answers, only more questions...
