Hi Everyone,

Ive purchased 2x 32inch Samsung G5 (QHD) monitors, i've also purchased a Belkin Docking station, this gives an extra HDMI and also an extra display port.

I can get both monitors running but 1 of them is a mirror of my laptop display, this limits the resolution to HD. So my question is, can I make the system support 3 monitors OR can I somehow disable the internal display and bump up the resolution to QHD.

I should note here that I havent been able to test whether it works by using the HDMI and Displayports on the laptop as the thickness of the Displayport cable wont let me fit the HDMI cable in.

Hi the USB-C port has TBT 4 without Display Port Alt support, you would need a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 dock or adapter that provides DisplayPort output. These adapters can convert the Thunderbolt 4 signal to DisplayPort, allowing you to connect to 2 DisplayPort monitors that will run in extended mode.

Your model has an HDMI and a mini-DP port. You can get a mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter to use the Displayport connection. This way, you can use both monitors with the original resolution.

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi,

I solved the problem. Even though my laptops screen says FHD on it and although it wont let me set the resolution higher (normally), it seems that when I have the extra monitors plugged in I can actually change the resolution to QHD, I thought the laptop display would turn off, but It actually works (too small to be use comftabley, but both my monitors are now at QHD.
