Why does my Acer NITRO-AN515-57 drop to 1fps and have choppy audio on battery down from 30fps?
every time I use my acer nitro 5 on battery power it goes to 30fps then it drops to 1fps, and the audio is choppy, and I can't move properly I've had this problem for 2 years but haven't worried about it but now I need it for school and other stuff.
Help would be nice

Are you saying that when the laptop is on battery power, it is lagging and unusable in normal browsing and office work?

The RTX 3050 Ti 75W alone will deplete the 57.5Wh battery in 30 minutes so Windows will throttle the power by 90% after 10 minutes. never run this laptop on battery only when using the dGPU and keep the battery 100% charged. To avoid any power throttling keep the power adapter plugged in 24/7 and when you don't have excess to an electrical power outlet don't play games.

@Puraw alright well the main problem I'm currently having right now is the adapter overheating and switching to battery power which gives me 1fps rather than 144fps when it overheats it uses battery power because it gets too hot

You can check any source, and you will learn that you should never use your gaming laptop on battery only. Audio and networking are also affected by power throttling. Why are you disconnecting the power adapter, are you afraid to "overcharge" the battery? Not possible as Li-Ion batteries have a built-in Smart chip: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001587.htm

What is the temperature when it is set on battery power?
Also, try to change the power plan to balanced.

In this situation, is the laptop on battery or plugged in?
