Hi,
I have a new XZ322QU 31.5" gaming monitor that isn't waking up on its own, like a "normal" monitor should, after sleep/reboot when I connect it via the DisplayPort.
Instead, I have to push the OSD button to get it to 'wake up'. This happens every time the PC goes to sleep mode or is rebooted.
However, when using the HDMI input, it does not behave this way; the monitor wakes up correctly after sleep/rebooting.
However, I don't want to use HDMI because of the lower refresh rate.
I had a chat session with Acer Support, but nothing we tried alleviated the problem.
Essentially, it ended with them telling me to send it into the warehouse.
I had read in another similar post from 2020, a conjecture that "something is wrong with the Acer implementation of the DisplayPort". Unfortunately, my experience seems to be another data point supporting that theory.
What a pity - it's a gorgeous monitor otherwise. I just don't want to have to keep reaching behind it to wake it up 20 times a day, when a simple mouse wiggle should suffice.
