Install OS Upgradation in Acer A3-A40 tablet - OS Installation Assistance required
Hi. I've a tablet Acer A3-A40 with Android 6.0 with patch from 5 february 2017 (image version Acer_AV0M0_A3-A40_RV08RC05_WW_GEN1). I find another image, I think is more higher, in Acer website to download, and I downloaded the this zip file. Now I want to install this in my tablet. Anyone help me with details how can do this installation? Thanks.

Take a look inside the zip file. If it contains only an 'update.zip' file, extract it to your SD card. If it's made up of a bunch of different files, rename it to 'update.zip' and copy it to the SD card. With the SD card inserted reboot and press the power and volume down button simultaneously to get the recovery menu. From there it should be fairly straight forward to load the new OS.

The A3-A40 should have a slot for an SD card, you make sure the SD card is formatted FAT32 and put the update.zip file in it's root directory. Are you sure the image you found is correct for your model? I do see RV09RC01.WW.GEN1 on Acer's website, is that the one you are trying?

Sorry, billsey, I followed the instructions to change de file to update.zip (because the zip have files like .dat, .bin, boot.img, a folder meta-inf, a much more) but when I choose in boot menu the "update by SD card" there not exist any file to select. I put the zip file in a SD card of 16Gb, formated FAT32. Any addicional help?
