ACER ASPIRE DESKTOP M3970 O/S conversion to WINDOWS 11

Microsoft claims that my system is not compatible for an update from WIN 10 Home to WIN 11 Home. I altered my BIOS (Version P02-A2) to make the BIOS Mode UEFI but the BIOS Secure Boot State continues to display Unsupported. Can ACER fix the BIOS to meet WIN 11's request? My PCU is an Intel-Core i-2600 running at 3.40 GHz. RAM is 8192MB and Local Disk (C:) 1.36 TB. My other machines have been successfully converted to WIN 11 Home and I would wish to continue using my ACER ASPIRE M3970 when MS drops the service on WIN10. Your advice please. JL

You have a 2nd gen Intel Core i7-2600 (launched Q1-2011) that is 13 years old: Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Processor there is no way Windows11 will properly run on the desktop even if you can manage to bypass TPM. You also won't get W11 updates if the system is not supported. 😑

Thanks for the quick reply! Seems a shame to scrap this desktop that runs so very smoothly and efficiently. A couple of years ago one of my favorite media editors (a German application) failed to render graphics adequately following an update. I had to replace my graphics card and my monitor to fix the problem. Is there a way to replace the Windows O/S with a different system altogether? J.L.

Just continue to run Windows 10 on it. Your system is old enough that it doesn't really need to latest and greatest…
