K132 Universal Connector.

According the people I've spoken to at ACER support, the universal connector on the K132 doesn't actually allow connections to anything at all.  This is a definition of "universal" I've never heard before.

Has anyone heard anything differently, or gotten the K132 to work with a VGA input?  The whole idea of buying a portable projector is for it to remain portable; I don't want to have to drag around converter box nearly as big as the projector?

The K132 does not use the universal connector for any purposes.

Please use the HDMI port for connecting the K132 projector.

Not even audio out? The manual specifies that it can be used with a "universal to Audio out adapter"

I would not know what the "universal to Audio out adapter" would be.

We do not support any connections to the universal connector.

Can the universal connector be used to send rs232 commands to the K132?

I'm confused. Th manual I got with the projector shows a picture even with the universal io cable to audio out shown and listed. If this really isn't supported then in guess the manual and specs are wrong. I find this very odd because the onboard speaker isn't even usable. You can barely hear anything so external is a must. That's a real deal breaker.

I use the K130 universal cable with mine with no issues.  Acer p/n 50.JE6J2.003.

I fortunatly read the manual and then bought the device on amazon. Now I wish I went to Frys.  I would have taken it back.

No sound out and now the device in the manual does not even exist!

I believe it is ACER's duty to make an adaptor available.
