Clear.fi playing Blu-ray?

I thought Clear.fi would play bllu-ray disks but mine own't.  Clear.fi can see the BD disk and title but won't play it.  I've tried to update but it says no updates are available.  My desktop didn't originally come with BD but I added it later and the drive works fine with other applications.  Is Clear.fi suppose to play blu-rays?  since my computer didn't come with BD originally, did I get a limited version?  thanks

I got mine to work again. Hope this helps:

(Your computer must be bundled with Clear.fi Media)

You can get Clear.fi Media with the AcerCloud bundle here

    1. Uninstall Clear.fi Media
    2. Run Acer eRecovery Management
    3. Find the menu for recovering drivers and programs
    4. Scroll down the list and find Clear.fi Media. Click to reinstall it.
    5. Connect to the internet
    6. Start clear.fi Media and insert your Bluray movie
    7. When prompted, click yes to update aacs key
    8. Fixed

One night I was asked to update the key but I was not online so I ignored the prompt. Big mistake, because this never appeared again. I'd consider that a bug that might make a lot of other costumers unhappy so if an admin reads this I hope the issue gets escalated to a programmer.

    What computer do you have?

What operating system is on the computer?

W510 with LG BP40 does the same - recognizes the disk & displays the title but Clear.Fi says "unsupported format".

I have the same problem. I have been watching dosens of Bluray movies and today I all of a sudden cant! The movies just wont start.

Clear.fi says it is up to date. System is Win7 on a Aspire v3-7771g.

Makes me feel unappreciated by Sony if the bluray format is so secure you can hardly play the **bleep** thing. Great purchase...

    Any ideas?

Did you change the monitor ? Apparently the HDCP spec says BluRay may not play on an analog device. I just tried on an LG tv and it won't play if I connect to the VGA port but will if connected to the HDMI port.

In my case I have just been trying to play it directly on the Laptop.  I have been trying to reinstall/repair the program but I think I just broke it even more. Is there a down link for the Clear.fi Media player?
