So I usually clean my laptop fans and change thermal paste once every 8-9 months. So I decided to change thermal paste today. I opened my laptop's case and found a spare screw laying on my laptop's mother board but couldn't find any missing screw holes. My laptop have working fine since the last time I changed thermal paste. Should I be concerned about this screw?

Laptop:(Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54)

As long as everything are connected properly, dont worry about the screw.    Accidentally it might have gone inside your computer.

I’m facing the same issue with my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55—there’s a spare screw inside, and I can’t figure out where it belongs. If you’ve found the correct spot for it, please let me know. Your help would be greatly appreciated!"

Hi, check the M.2 SSDs they are secured with screws and maybe when you cleaned the fans a screw came loose.
