small blue dot on the screen of Predator PHN16-71
Tinkerer
I have a Predator PHN16-71 that is already 3 months old, with a year warranty, after updating Insyde Software - Firmware - 5.44.1.16 and ULIC Tek Inc. - SoftwareComponent - 1.0.262.0 a small blue dot appeared on the screen, tell me how to fix it and is this somehow related to the update or not? (translated through a translator, so I apologize in advance)

So, it is your laptop screen (stuck pixel) and not the graphics or software related. Since this is a brand-new laptop, I recommend bringing it to Acer Services and let Acer decide if this falls under warranty.

Take a picture of the screen with the Windows snipping tool that clearly shows that dot and post it in your reply, type @Puraw at the top or click on "Quote" in your reply.

Take a clear picture with your phone, transfer the file to your laptop (by USB-C cable or e-mail to yourself) and attach that.

IMO that is a stuck pixel against a dark background, not software related.
https://www.acer.com/in-en/support/warranty/dead-pixel but to make sure connect an external monitor to the HDMI slot and if the dot does not show on that screen, you have a stuck pixel (a dead pixel transmits no light).0 -
I don’t have an additional monitor, let’s say the pixel is stuck, is there any way to fix this? And can this be considered a warranty case or not?

I attached Acer warranty policy for India and that states less than 5 dead pixels are not covered, so you will have to live with that spot, but it emits light and may change size/intensity. Borrow a monitor or use your TV with a HDMI cable to check if it is not the display driver.

I tried to connect to the TV monitor via Win+ K, there was no blue dot on the TV screen, but on the laptop screen there was.
