I bought this PC a year ago but have only just started using it, completely mediocre in all departments. On counter strike two Im only getting 200 Fps and sometimes It dips below, while the cpu is hitting 100 degrees. I tried playing Red dead redemption and it would not go above 70 FPS on high settings on a 144hz monitor it made the game unplayable.

I just expect a lot more for a 1,400 pound PC with an i7 and 3070 GPU

What size and type of drive is installed? Those numbers look about right if it's got a HDD instead of SSD. There are a lot of people who have replaced the stock Intel cooling system with a Noctua, for a 15-20C reduction in temperatures.

How is the drive relevant to my thread? You are literally an acer [Sensitive Content].

It's relevant. He even explained it how it is relevant. The type and speed of a storge drive (HDD, SATA SSD, M.2 nvme SSD) and how much it has free space can cause stuttering and lower FPS than normal.

If there's plenty of free space on the drive, and the RAM and VRAM aren't completely used up, the difference in FPS can be rather small. But if memory is all used up and you have to store and read data from the storage drive, especially a slow one… you prolly got what I was going for.

FYI, most of us here are just regular people like me and you. Even Billsey, who you attacked, is not an Acer employee. He's here helping people for free and for the goodness of his heart. So, please no more ad hominems. Thank you.
