    hi...

The message Exiting Intel PXE Rom means that the computer was trying to boot from its network card and not the hard disk drive.

First verify the boot order set in the BIOS of the computer:

    1. Restart the computer
    2. Press F2 to enter BIOS Setup during Power-On Self-Test (POST), while the Acer logo is being displayed.
    3. Use the right arrow key to select Boot
    4. Refer to on screen instructions to set the first device to IDE0
    5. Press the F10 key and then press the Enter key to save the changes and restart the computer.

If the ability to reinstall from the previous method is not available or fails, recovery of the Operating System will need to be from Recovery Media.

thanks for your advice. But the harddisk details are not displayed at all in the boot setup. Can there be a damage to it that is causing errors. And if there is what are the reccomendations to it?
