I have two B277 monitors connected via HDMI to my computer - running Windows 11 (64 bit). They are terrific but I can not get the sound to come through the monitors.

All suggestions welcome.

There are a bunch of different B277 models. Different versions have different features. Some have speakers and some do not. Do you know what the full model number is on the ones you have? It should be something like B277 Ebmiprx with any of several capital letters instead of the 'E' and many different combinations of small letters after that. The B277 'X' tells the model series and the 'xxxxxxx' defines the optional features. Typically if they have speakers there will be a couple clues, there will be volume controls on the OSD and there will be audio ports on the back near the video ports.

    Thanks Billsey

    The model is B277 bmiprzx

    What is the OSD?

There is an Audio In port and I have tried connecting an audio cable from that to the audio output of the computer.

On Screen Display, that's the menu you access with the buttons on the monitor. A quick Google of that full model number does show that it has speakers installed. So, check to make sure the volume is set at the maximum on the monitor, then check in sound settings on the computer to make sure the HDMI out port is the default for sound.

Great - but not there yet.

I have checked the monitor settings and they had Mute OFF and Volume at 70. I have increased that to Maximum.

How to set HDMI as the default out port for sound?

    Regards

Glad you got it sorted. The audio user interface can be different for different systems, but in general you just have to select the right output.
