Not able to control keyboard backlight on my Predator Helios Neo 16

Recently, an update for Predator Sense on the Helios Neo 16 rolled out, which stated that you could control your keyboard backlight through Windows Dynamic Lighting. However, it doesn't work as it says. Then I switched back and tried to control the backlight using Predator Sense but I wasn't able to do that also, meanwhile, the Predator Sense app, in general, is working completely fine like i can switch the modes as well as check the fan speed, temperature, etc

    i also have the same problem , also can guys check if you are able to get the popup when you long press power button or does it go to sleep mode?

    there is no acer quick access as well

    Try to do system restore and check.

    Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue.. 

    Try windows x
    click on power shell admin or command prompt admin 
    type rstrui
    chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine  
    click on next, finish, yes
    It will restore your computer to an earlier date 
    if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close 
    It will show you all the icons..
    Try and check whether it is working now ..

    If it is still not working .. Try windows +r - on run type "system reset"

    You can try keep my files , remove everything as a final option

    After trying keep my files you can install the predator sense app and check.

    If it is still not working please try remove everything and check.

    The situation is exactly the same, what you advise is to do a rollback, it will help exactly until the next automatic update.

    Reinstall Predatorsense with 5.0.13.41 from this link. The software is the same for more models. Mine (PH18-71) got messed up after MS Store updated predatorsense from v4 to v5 - just reinstall it with the same new version from the package.
