Hello, I updated the bios to 1.20 and in Windows Update I have an optional update, Insyde software 5.43.1.19, should I do it too?

    Hi,

Probably this update is the oldest BIOS version 1.19.

I don't advise installing this update as it will certainly cause conflict with the currently installed BIOS in your system.

These UEFI firmware updates via WU can end up causing problems and a lot of headaches on Windows 11.

    Hi,
I have Acer Nitro 515-57. I have 1.19 installed & now have optional update available of 1.20. Should I update? Its working well with 1.19 installed. Please suggest. Thank you.

    Hello @pratikgs,

    This update includes security improvements:

Update chipset security integration for may 23 CI.

Preferably, download and install it from Acer's support site:

    https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/product-support/Nitro_AN515-57/downloads?suggest=AN515-57;0

I particularly don't like and don't trust Windows Update managing and modifying my computer's UEFI firmware.
