I have just bought a Nitro V ANV15-51-99VQ with i9, 32Gb RAM and 1Tb SSD and I see the question about the upgrading of the SSD has been asked before but it doesn’t seem consistent on the how much storage can be added.
I want to fully maximise the SSD capacity of the laptop I have and it seems there are 2 slots, with the one close to the battery is PCEi Gen4 NVMe M.2 and the 2nd slot is PCEi Gen3 NVMe M.2 but can you please confirm what the maximum SSD storage capacity is?
I have read different info with 1 version that they are max only 1Tb per SSD slot (1TB +1TB) and the 2nd version that they can be max 2TB per SSD slot (2TB+2TB), can you please confirm what is correct for the Nitro Model I have so I can buy and install the max capacity SSD’s.

Thanks

So I can install a 4TB Gen 3 SSD like the Crucial P3 4TB CT4000P3SSD8 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD ok?

  • yes you can. The drive just needs to have the appropriate connection.

As You already know what SSD Gen with interface your laptop support

I have 2 x 4Tb Samsung 990 pro in mine. Yes, the second slot is only PCIe Gen 3, but the 990 pro can saturate this connection.

    1st Drive 5710/5749 MB/s

    2nd Drive 3489/3312 MB/s

    (Samsung Magician)

These are actual numbers on my Nitro V ANV15-51-99VQ
